Start The Change is a global citizenship education project co-funded by the European Commission. It was created to raise awareness among European citizens on the importance of a joint effort to help end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all, as declared by the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030. Currently more than 24,000 active participants in 12 European countries participate. The project promotes active citizenship paths for young people through non-formal teaching methods based on peer communication. It proposes a new model for working with teachers, educators and young people on the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Start The Change group of Biella organizes activities in support of migrants and the initiative "A lesson for change", with the aim of addressing issues such as sustainable consumption, gender issues and migration in schools, in close correlation with the 17 SDGs of the UN 2030 Agenda.
The organization is supported by the Maria Cecilia Cooperative and collaborates with Caritas.
