Founded in 1993, Oasi Zegna is a project aimed at enhancing not only the landscape but also life in all its forms. Oasi Zegna is an open-access area covering 100 km², with 1,420 hectares of forests and 170 hectares of pastures, making it the perfect place to connect with nature while fully respecting local ecosystems.
In 2014, Oasi Zegna received the endorsement of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano). Since 2022, it has been internationally certified by FSC® for forest management and the conservation of ecosystem services for the benefit of the community.
Aligned with the sustainability principles that drive the Ermenegildo Zegna Group, Oasi Zegna reflects the responsible approach of its founder. Inspired by nature’s beauty and driven by a deep desire to give back to the community and his place of origin, in the 1930s, entrepreneur Ermenegildo Zegna launched an extensive landscape enhancement project around the wool mill he had founded in 1910, following the road he had charted himself.
Ermenegildo created an ecosystem long before the term existed. But his vision went further. By positioning the wool mill at the heart of a much larger community, he created Route 232 and later Oasi Zegna through a careful reforestation project, fostering a positive and sustainable interdependence.
