The Agriturismo Oro di Berta is an organic farm that covers an area of about 10 hectares planted with seasonal fruit and vegetables, chestnuts and walnuts. Part of the harvest is used to produce jams, mustards, preserves, vinegars. The flagship is walnut oil, one of the typical products of the Biella peasant tradition. The farmhouse, which takes its name from a hill in Castagnea, was born in 1998 following the recovery of an ancient eighteenth-century factory. Respecting the ancient structure and the surrounding environment, the owners Paola and Tristano have chosen to use the wood they extract from the surrounding woods for heating and panels to produce solar energy. In the educational farm they host students and families, to make them discover the agricultural world in its entirety, through workshops and specific paths on various topics.
