Manuela Zegna's farm is located on the top of a hill near Masserano. The old farmhouse, which houses two bedrooms with B&B service, has been renovated with natural materials linked to the territory, such as the Luserna stone, typical of Piedmont and the red sand of the Osterla and Ostola streams, for the external plaster. The choice of solar panels to produce hot water, electricity and for underfloor heating, together with the wood-fired stove and the interior walls facing south painted in dark colors, are all measures that contribute to making the structure autonomous and as sustainable as possible. Her goats are not locked in the stable but graze free in the woods, feeding on turkish wheat, barley, organic hay and zero km. The strictly organic cheese is made from raw milk with the addition of vegetable rennet extracted from wild thistle. To bring children and families closer to animals, Manuela hosts schools and visitors in her educational farm, offering workshops and experiential activities immersed in nature. The motto is: it is forbidden not to touch!
