Christian Maffeo produces organic honey in a small laboratory located in the historic center of Camburzano, a town in the Elvo Valley with just over a thousand inhabitants. Aperitivo is a landscape and community-oriented company that uses local resources with awareness and relies on good neighborly relations and word of mouth for the distribution of products. Cristian produces wildflower, acacia, chestnut and rhododendron honey with quantities and availability that vary according to the year. His bees also produce propolis, royal jelly and pollen, but in small quantities. Over the years, the company has developed some honey-based products, such as spreadable cream with hazelnuts and cocoa or Revelchion grappa flavored with a mixture of honey. To obtain this type of honey (which has the ICEA organic certification) Cristian moves his hives between the municipalities of Camburzano, Netro, Zubiena, Mongrando and Occhieppo Inferiore to follow the seasonal blooms. Hence the idea of nomadic beekeeping that adapts to the territory and respects its peculiarities. The sale takes place directly in the honey removal laboratory in Camburzano or through the local network of shops, or in the area's fairs and markets.
