Fondazione Zegna was founded in 2000 in Trivero by the will of the Zegna family, with the aim of giving continuity to the values, thought and work of Ermenegildo Zegna, founder in 1910 of the wool mill that still bears his name today. The protection of the natural environment, the social well-being and cultural development of the local community are the three pillars on which the mission of the Foundation is based. The initiatives of the Zegna Foundation are also realized through an international philanthropic action aimed at the conservation and enhancement of environmental resources, the promotion of sustainable development in local communities, culture and education, health and medical research. Over the years, a network of partners has been created around the Foundation with whom it has established lasting collaborations and built generative projects that have allowed it to continue independently.
With some partners the planning is constant and is continuously generative and creative. Fondazione Zegna and Cittadellarte share a territory to which they belong, the Biellese, and the desire to create an international network of social change, without forgetting their roots. Together, the two institutions have set themselves the goal of exploring the possibilities of collaboration between art and business, offering an educational and training path for young artists and researchers from all over the world and creating innovative models of cultural investment.
