The Solidarity Renewable Energy Community (CERS) Oremo Energia Solidale was established to support the activities of Cascina Oremo, an educational and inclusive hub located in Biella. This energy community is the first of 14 similar initiatives promoted by Fratello Sole and CGM across Italy, with support from the Peppino Vismara Foundation and Fondazione con il Sud.

CERS Oremo Energia Solidale is based on the "Enernoi" model, which combines shared energy production with local development. Nonprofit organizations, citizens, institutions, and businesses are all active promoters and participants in the community. In addition to energy production, the community plans to offer sustainability services for the area, such as sustainable mobility, welfare and wellness services, and the distribution of locally sourced fair-trade products.

The financial incentives generated from sharing the produced energy will be used to facilitate families’ access to the services offered by Cascina Oremo, thereby promoting inclusion and the well-being of the local community.
