The Club di Papillon
What it is: An association of people who love taste — the beauty, quality, and conviviality; in short, the enjoyment of life. It is present throughout Italy. In Biella, we have 135 members, about half of whom are industry professionals (restaurateurs, producers, hoteliers, and B&B managers); over 30% of the members are under 40. The membership fee is 60 euros per year, which includes a daily press review, a weekly newsletter on food and wine topics, free access to Golosaria Monferrato and Milan events, and some complimentary publications (e.g., Il Golosario Ristoranti or Il Golosario Cose Buone d’Italia). Being part of the Club di Papillon means supporting and discovering the world of taste.
Our mission in Biella: To promote the region through the "taste supply chain," that is, to showcase Biella and its food and wine products to both locals and tourists.
What we do: We organize convivial evenings under the motto “Flavors & Knowledge,” with tastings paired with cultural moments on various food- and taste-related topics: history, traditions, sports, health, Italian regional cuisines, production methods, company tours (wineries, breweries, etc.), art, music, literature, and more.
As Delegate: I manage the De Gustibus column in Il Biellese and write for Il Giornale del Gusto on IlGolosario.it, providing visibility for Biella's food and wine themes and operators.
